UNITED FAITH MINSITRIES, INC.
Statement of Faith
The following statements are positions taken by UFM on the basic Christian Doctrines though these are but excerpts of our complete Statement of Faith. These are Christian’s truths about which we believe all Christians must be in agreement with. We have resolved to take an uncompromising stand on the essential doctrines of The Cross, Faith, Hope and Holiness. We welcome all who hold to these truths. We are committed to the inerrancy of God’s Word whether literal or figurative, whether by inspired revelation of the written word or the spiritual gifts in operation. Scripture is not given to private interpretation; therefore we seek not to cause division in the body of Christ, but to bring …unity of the spirit in the bond of peace. (Eph. 4:3). We are committed to the renewing of the spirit, mind and character to the bringing forth of the merits of Christ in true holiness, believing that in all things there must be Love, for Love is a more excellent way. (I Cor. 12: 31-13: 1-13)
The Cross
The Cross of Calvary is the symbol that speaks of spiritual things and if there be any inclusiveness in the Gospel of God it is that God would have all men to be saved (John 3: 16) and the other is the doctrine of the redemptive acts accomplished by Jesus on the Cross for our Salvation: Justification, Redemption, Grace, Imputation, Propitiation, Forgiveness, Sanctification, Glorification, Impartation and Atonement.
The following are a few more excerpts from our Statement of Faith:
On the Person of Jesus:
There is only one true God, Who is revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Word (Logos) of God. The Word was with God in the beginning, which states His pre-existence as one with God. Jesus was born of a virgin, by the seed of the Holy Spirit. His virgin birth is a testimony that only the Spirit can beget that which is Spirit. “There is one God and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (I Timothy 2:5). All who seek restoration and fellowship with God must go through Jesus and cannot approach God through any person, spirit or doctrine. Jesus saith to him, I am the way , the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14: 6)
On Man:
We believe that man was created by God from the dust of the earth, without sin or the knowledge of good and evil., Adam, being the first man transgressed the command of God, and the process of death began for all mankind.. Therefore, all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. (Rom.3:23)
On the Atonement:
Because all have sinned and are therefore under the sentence of death, all must trust in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary for the remission of sins. There is no other way to be reconciled with God or escape eternal judgment, except through the propitiatory sacrifice of Jesus…by whom we have now received the atonement. (Romans 5: 10-12)
On the New Birth:
We believe that one believing in their hearts that Jesus is the Son of God and in His sacrifice made for our salvation results in a regeneration and renewal that constitutes our new birth. Although this does not imply immediate perfection in our temporal life or lifestyle, it does mean that true faith will result in a radical change in us. Being “born again” implies a new beginning, not an ending. Christian maturity in faith, truth and knowledge of the Cross is a process administered by the work of God The Holy Spirit..
On The Holy Spirit
We Believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Divine Trinity consisting of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. That He is a divine person (The Spirit of God and The Spirit of Truth) sent by God the Father to be a comforter , teacher and helper to those that believe even in the name of Jesus; born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will man, but of God. (John 1: 12-13).
On The Baptism of The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a separate and distinct part of the Salvation Maturity Process (Acts8: 12-17). Salvation is a free gift by Faith in Jesus Christ and the redemption by His blood on the Cross at Calvary. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit gives one the power to resist Satan, helps the new born Christian grow from milk to meat understanding the Gospel truths of scripture and this with the evidence of speaking in tongues, one of the Spiritual Gifts (Given by the Holy Spirit severally as He wills. (I Cor. 12: 1-13) outwardly of the infilling of the Spirit.
