Unpolluted

Pastor Art’s Shout Out
Salvation Is Worth It

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is nothing to tamper with, rearrange or make into a bit of untruths. The scriptures clearly tell us what day we are living in. II Timothy is a great place to start. Well, as many are afraid to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise there are a hundred fold still standing. They may not be loud and boisterous, but on we are indeed standing on the undiluted, unpolluted WORD OF GOD. This stuff in the earth may look like Jesus, but it aint nothing but a lie from Hell. Pay close attention, stand watchmen, read your Bible and get understanding. Salvation is indeed worth it. Hell is real.
This is a shout out to Bold 1000 who wrote this piece in response to Rob Bell’s book wherein he stated that Hell wasn’t real. I wonder what Bible this Mr. Bell teaches from. I’m with you Bold One.

There Is No Condemnation In Christ

No Condemnation

Pastor Arthur Wilkerson

To stand free of condemnation is and should be a wonderful thing.  As a Christian, to have the joy of knowing that one is free of condemnation, to know that there is not a judicial decree or determination of guilt that’s been handed down on me is a reason for joy deep down in my soul.  I have this unspeakable joy because there was one to pay the penalty for me; one who with out stretched arms on the Cross of Calvary, welcomed all who would believe on Him and the one who sent Him.  I am justified, sanctified and not condemned; redeemed and reconciled, not turned away; loved and not hated and I’m written  into the eternal will of God as heir with the one who paid price for me, Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Paul in chapter 7 of Romans verses 15-24 is speaking to saved people.  He is showing the struggle between the two natures of man; the Adamic nature and the divine nature.  The Adamic nature is that nature we are born with, for we are born in the likeness or image of Adam (Gen. 5: 3) which is the nature of sin, defilement, fallen and corrupt.  The divine nature comes by the will of God (John 1: 12-13) through faith in and confession of Jesus to righteousness, this is given to all that believe in their hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, they shall be saved.  This is not the new birth but the righteousness of God reckoned to all that by faith come to God by Christ Jesus. (See Ro. 3: 21-26)  Note: Faith is not regeneration (Also see Gen. 15: 6 “first mentioned principle”)   The new birth (born again) is that which Jesus spoke to Nicodemus about (John 3: 3-6), this is the baptism or infilling of the Holy Spirit and the regeneration of our spirit, He gives the power to resist the laws of sin and death in our members and puts us “in Christ”.  (If you will, a babe in the things of the Kingdom of Heaven)

So, here we have Paul in this epic human battle of Good and Evil; the Law of God which he delights in and would love to do, but does them not and the Law of Sin and Death that he does.  This is like the rest of us, only he admits; “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” (Ro. 7:24)   If we would but only admit that we are wretched and in need of help, truly wanting to live the laws of life in our hearts and not give in to the lures of the laws of sin, then we to can say “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” (vs 25) not understanding that …”the flesh lusteth against Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh ; and these are contrary the one to the other; so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” (Gal. 5: 17)    This is that epic battle that goes on our inward parts.  This is the law of the mind finding a law, even the laws of God to justify the sin of  our members (flesh, my will and desires).  Note:  Ex: you can do that, it’s really not a sin and anyway you have grace and God has to forgive you.  He tells us to forgive, so he has to forgive me.  Even the mind that wants to keep the law of God that’s in the regenerative process debates and loses this battle, because the law has no delivering power.   Yet,    …”shall we sin; because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.” (Ro. 6: 15)

Now, to those of us that are not perfect and are guilty of the above reasoning of finding  a law to meet the need of the flesh, Paul continues in Chapter 8 to remind us that we have help and that we too can “thank God for Jesus Christ.”   Jesus is the mediator that sits on the right hand of God the Father interceding for us, repentance and praise are the avenues to forgive and faith that God will answer prayer is the stairway to the tower of right standing again with God, when, after sin has beset us or trials have overcome us and we finally realize that it is not in us, we like Job  can say …”I know that my redeemer lives” (Job 19: 25)   Paul said, “There is, therefore now (no condemnation) to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Ro. 8: 1)   (Most commentators  agree that the last 10 words in vs 1 were taken from vs 4)

How would He know there is no judicial guilt leveled against him had he not come through, the Holy Spirit bearing witness that victory in a sinful “Episode of Life” is conquered.  So, he is saved from condemnation “…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Eph. 2: 8).  As one commentator (MH) puts it, the true believer, that is, one born again by the in filled regenerative power of the Holy Spirit will feel ashamed, convicted and be chastened of the Lord, but “not condemned”  with the world (II Cor. 11: 32).  Herein lies the difference  between one that is “in Christ” the condition and “no condemnation” the promise and one that is not “in Christ” and condemned with the world.   One has conviction that brings him/her to repentance with a godly sorrow (II Cor. 7: 10) and a turning from sin; the putting to death of that sinful episode through faith by grace and by the indwelling Holy Spirit the power of God and our helper.  Without the Holy Spirit we only have remorse, maybe, for the sinful episode and no power to resist the flesh, but left with the finding of a law to ease of sinful conscience.   For those who confess Jesus only to imitate Him in the flesh or religion sake without power, Satan comes and finding sin, lures one because of their own lust and multiplies it.

When I think of one being  “in Christ and the conviction by the Holy Spirit, I think of John chapter 14 and 15.  Jesus in chapter 14: 30 says “…the prince of this world cometh and has nothing in me…”.  This is an intimation of the sinless nature of our Christ.  We on the other hand are battling the sin nature daily and when the prince of this world comes he does find in us “..,the works of the flesh…” (Gal. 5: 19-21). Note: “and they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.(Gal. 5:24-25)   So then, Jesus tells us, those that are “in Him” are in the Processes of Salvation.  He says…”I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” (John 15: 1-2 Note: God is the tender of the vineyard, the whole earth and all that is in it.  He sees and knows all that is in everyone.  Those that confess and profess Jesus, God knows the intent, the motives of the heart. “…The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good…” (Prov. 15: 3; Psalms 34: 15; I Peter 3: 12).  After all we are God’s husbandry, workers together with God.   It is God that “taketh away every branch that does not bear fruit”.  What fruit?  Fruit’s  that look like Jesus, fruits of holiness and righteousness, not the fruit of one’s own imagination and labor mixed with the rudiments of the world.  (The recognized Principles of the World), this includes the gods and idols of old like Balim, Baal and  Ashtoreth.   (vs2 cont.) “…and every branch (those with and without the infilling of the Holy Spirit) that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Let’s look further at “taketh away” (we’ll need an understanding of this when we talk about grace, confession and profession in God’s economy of “no condemnation” and the condition of being “in Christ” (Ro. 8: 1)  “Taketh” , Greek airo (ah-ee-ro) is a primary verb; to lift; by implication to take up or away; fig. to raise.   Confessing and professing the declaration of one’s faith, the open acknowledgement of the same justifies us, puts us “in Christ” as righteous before God and now the doors of the School of Grace are  opened (the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand) before us.  God as the husbandman sets the courses of our Christian lives; remedial classes has started; and the “Epic Battle”, the fight for my eternal soul, has begun.  While we were in the world and in darkness, no sin was really revealed or acknowledged, but now the light of God’s Word shines deep within our souls showing up the works of the flesh and the lust thereof.  This sin nature has to be cleansed of the defilement and corruption, so that the life giving waters can began to flow, bringing nourishment to the fruit planted by God the husbandman(See Isa. 60: 21; 61: 3).   On the one hand He lifts us up, taking us away from the muck and mire of sin and the world as we’re grafted into His Son, Jesus, putting us in position to grow, and cleanses us, calling us His righteousness.  He then purges us, cutting away the parts that rotten, bruised, corrupted and defiled.  He ties us to the Cross that we may grow out and up.  He bides us to abide.  To always look up toward the hills which comes all of our help.   Now, on the other hand, those that refuse to obey and abide, staying tied to the Cross, after a while as they become sliden down toward the muck and the mire of the world (backslidden) He cuts them near the graft, having mercy upon them and leaving hope through repentance so that new sprigs of righteousness might grow up, stronger from the experience of Love from Him our Father.  After all God is “…married to the backslider..” (Jer. 3: 14)   “The Lord is Not Slack concerning His promises, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (II Peter 3: 9)   And “…there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus…”;  “…if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you…” (Ro. 8:9)   (All Scripture is taken from the Old King James Bible)

The Promises of God with Conditions (Part II)

Pure In Heart

Pastor Arthur Wilkerson

This is a very comprehensive and self- emptying blessing, the sixth of the Divine Constitution of the Kingdom of Heaven.  I’m reminded of something that was reportedly said by a prominent national figure.  This man said that NO one can live by these  “B” Attitudes.  But I say what God said by the mouth of Jeremiah the prophet, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?  I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jeremiah 17: 9-10).   We Knowing this, that the God that created the heavens and the earth is trying the reins of our deceitful and wicked hearts, should then endeavor: First: (Ro. 10: 9-10 KJV)    believe with your whole heart these words  9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  Second: asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit, our helper with the biblical evidence of speaking with other tongues and Third:  walk by faith in the Laws of Christ the mediator between God and man and not dismiss them as too hard to accomplish,…”with God, nothing is impossible”.   If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, then by all means do so and ask to be filled with the precious Holy Spirit and God will give Him to you.  If you have given your life to Christ and have not the Holy Spirit (Acts 8: 15-16) dwelling within you, with prayer, humility and with earnesty of heart ask God and He will fill you.  God has given us and will give us the vehicles whereby we can achieve the fruit of the Spirit to grow by in His Word and Law.

Yes, I said Law.  Not the Mosaic Law, but that Law of Christ that emanates from the Cross of Calvary.   The New Covenant does have its laws and the “B” Attitudes along with others are wrapped up in …”believing in thine heart that God hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  (here we go) vs. 10 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation.” (Romans 10: 9-10)  What righteousness  do we  really confess?  Is it God’s righteousness, is it of the Bible, mixed with that of the world so that our conscience is eased, but we know we’re not right, or is it fully our own righteousness, our own wills so that we can accomplish our goals and desires, and  out of our mouths comes the confession of Christ, but our hearts are for from Him.  Or is our confession from our whole hearts pure in faith towards God and His righteousness to holiness now and eternal life.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God (Matt. 5: 8)— This verse intimates that if ones heart is not pure, they would not see God.  Though, it doesn’t say that they would not be saved.   How wonderful it would be to have eternal life with Jesus and as a bonus get to see the very God of our Salvation face to face.  This would be an ultimate reward for having press through the growth processes in this life to the purity in  heart of the Blessed.  For the character of the Blessed here is one that has conquered the prevailing nature of Adam within, the sin nature of spirit, soul and body.

Pure in heart says; that one’s heart, as defined by Webster is the emotional or moral as distinguished from the intellectual nature; one’s innermost character, feelings.  But, from a spiritual aspect I’ll use this definition for the heart: man’s entire mental and moral activity, both rational and emotional; the hidden springs of the personal life (the heart that only God knows, the sin that affect the whole of man’s spirit, soul and body).  Sin is a principle which has its seat in the center of man’s inward life and defiles the whole of his actions. (Matt. 15: 19-20)  So then, the Holy Spirit that dwells within  the pure in heart, has conquered that prevailing nature of sin to the putting off of those things that did prevail in my heart (along with evil thoughts, murders,  false witness, uncleanness, inordinate affections, covetousness and the like.(Col. 3: 5-6).  You know, those things that cause us to smile in a brothers face and then lie on that brother, curse and plot deceitful acts against him.  The things that lead to spiritual murderer that you think are covered under Grace.

Pure in heart says that I have grown to be “poor in spirit”, humble and not high minded, an instrument of dust made strong for God’s use.  That as a child of God sealed now by the Holy Spirit who bears witness of me, I no longer stand in agreement with the world or try to compromise with the world or mix God’s principles and precepts with that of the world, watch this, some that mix (make impure) say they’re temperate (exercising restraint), but are really consumed by their own lust, they say it’s done for a crown of incorruption or to someone to Christ, but it’s really for self-gain and power.  This scripture is used by some, … “I am made all things to all men,  that I might by all means save some” (I Cor. 9: 20-25). There are the truly “pure in heart” that are not mixing God’s Word and we know them by the Spirit.  But I say, when the awe of our eternal God, His Son and the Cross of His crucifixion  becomes so minimal or non-existent that it’s all but gone from our services, then motives should be questioned.

Pure in heart says; that along with becoming “poor in spirit”; in their spiritual growth to becoming pure in heart one has also conquered in spirit, soul and body and has  become one that “mourns” because of the state they see the Church in today and  the deception of God’s people; they have become meek”; not only humble, but gentle in their care of the very least of God’s people to the most boisterous and hard to get along with; and they “hunger and thirst after righteousness”; for there is a thirst and a hunger within a mature child of God (Saint) to see the righteousness of God prevail in the lands.  There is a sorrowful, gnawing ache that yearns to be filled, and they become forgiving and “merciful” for they have and shall obtain mercy.

We believe with all spiritual and godly sincerity that as we endeavor to seek the unity of the spirit we find peace with God so that we can then grow to spiritual maturity, and in the Principle Graces of  the Gospel of God in each one of the areas of the “B” Attitudes.  Have I attained in all these areas, NO, but I press daily, always endeavoring, pressing and seeking. And I pray,… “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him”. (Eph. 1: 17)    (All Scripture are taken from the Old King James Bible) *

Unconditinal Promises

The Promises Of God  (cont.)

Unconditional  Promises (Part II)

Pastor Arthur Wilkerson

We have established that God’s Word is inerrant, that He is incapable of error and in this we should know or reckon that He is Sovereign.  In other words we should know that God is the Supreme Universal Authority in all three person, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  He is excellent in all His ways  and He, that cannot lie, Promised eternal life. (Titus 1: 2)

For those who come to God through the atoning sacrifice that Christ made on the Cross of Calvary, being reconciled to God with the Holy Spirit bearing witness that you are His son and can call Him Abba Father, (Ro. 8: 15, Gal. 4: 6) the Unconditional Promises become privileges of the Kingdom of Heaven.  In  the Unconditional Promises God has said , that…”with God all things are possible” (Matt. 19: 26), and, …”where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty”. (II Cor. 3: 17).  Note: These are promises for those who have become Citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven and are sojourners in this world, even though the attacks on us are many and continuous.

Now, you may ask, just what does these promises mean to me in my everyday life?   In all of the episodes  of a Christian’s life,  God’s Promises will bring strength to stand against the Devil.  When in our lives we find ourselves in situations, and let’s face it, sometimes we listen to our friends before going to the Lord, well, well. “with God all things are possible”, though this promise was spoken concerning a rich man getting into heaven because his heart was toward his earthly riches and not toward the things of God.  Seeing this, it would be virtually impossible for him to make it into heaven without a change of heart.  Jesus said it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.

Well, there are episodes in our lives that seem just as impossible.   This is where as a child of God we have to know that… “there is nothing impossible for God”, when all seems to be lost, when every door has been closed, you have to trust the Word of God explicitly.  When all human effort has failed, you have to know that God controls the hearts of kings and men and that He has mercy on whom he will and that you have access by the Holy Spirit…”for where the spirit is there is liberty”, to the Throne Room of God.  You can enter through the Blood of Jesus and say Father, you promised that nothing is impossible for you to do. And with thanksgiving, being gracious for what He has already done, ask for mercy.   You don’t need an earthly priest to pray for, you have an High Priest sitting on the right hand of your heavenly Father and you’re of a “holy priesthood” (II Peter 2:5) offering yourself as a living sacrifice asking your Father and God to turn your situation around according to His will and purpose and believing (having FAITH) that He will do it.  Have the spirit of David, find your spiritual ephod, put it on and enter into the presence of the Lord.  And see that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh from the Father of lights”…(James 1: 17) (promise), because God Promised to those that are His and The Lord knoweth them that are His”. (II Tim. 2: 19) (promise).  And when the Lord comes through for you, give Him praise and glory and magnify Jesus.  It is always good to have someone you trust in the Lord to touch and agree with you in prayer.   (All Scripture are taken from the Old King James Bible) *

The Promises of God Continued:

The Promises of God Continued:

Unconditional Promises (Part I)

Pastor Arthur Wilkerson

Promises are simply pledges or declarations spoken with conditions (conditional) or without conditions (unconditional).  Promises are spoken in covenant (agreement/confederate) or in vengeance (angry repentance for past favor).  In the case of our God, His promises are spoken in and through the inerrancy of His Word and are Unconditional and Conditional.  In the weeks ahead we’re going to look at a few of both.  But as a sidebar to get us going, God, by His Prophet Hosea said these words “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shall be no priest to me; seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy Children.( Hos. 4: 6)  God said then and He is saying now, that because the people and the priest rejected the maxims (The Law of Christ) of  His Word that He would reject them.  We must remember that though Grace is the “Love and Kindness” of God and is given freely by Him; it is also a “Stay of Execution”, so as we continue to look at the Promises of God let’s remember what was just stated and return to that which is socially and morally righteous according to the knowledge of God’s Law in Jesus.

Some scholars have determined that there are some 452 promises in the Bible, but only 23 are Unconditional (Noooo Prosperity is not one of them, though God wants us to prosper as our soul prospers).  But one is found in Acts 10: 34-35, 43 wherein Salvation came to the Gentiles.  Cornelius and his house were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke with other tongues.  Peter saying …”of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons; but in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness is accepted with Him”.   This is saying, as we of the Faith know, that every man, woman, boy or girl of any nationality upon the face of this Earth that by faith, reverence and odeience to the Law of Jesus Christ and  the Cross of Grace shall be accepted with Him (Jesus).  Now, this is confirmed by Paul in Col. 3:11 when he said “Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian , bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.   This is an Unconditional Promise that God will accept all who would come, that believe in Jesus with their whole heart.  This  also means that it makes no difference what you believed in before coming to Christ, whether it was because of your nationality, race or creed;  God will accept you and wash you in the Blood of Christ and count you Justified, clean and fit to be in His presence, to come through the rent Vail into His presence.   Many of us will have many flaws of the flesh to contend with in the process, but know this, you’re acceptedGod has Promised and He is not a man that He should lie.  Note: (All Scripture reference is from the old King James Bible). *
